I like this take. The thing to consider is whether you trust Echo and Ring devices with your privacy. If you do, you might as well participate in Sidewalk. It’s not that different, conceptually, from Apple’s Find My network.

I don’t like this take. There’s absolutely no reason you should trust the Ring or Echo, and you shouldn’t trust Sidewalk, either. In technology especially, trust has to be earned, and Amazon has done nothing to earn anyone’s trust.
