Stephenie Meyer Announces ‘Midnight Sun’

Yesterday, Stephenie Meyer announced that “Midnight Sun” will be released later this year. If you’re unfamiliar with “Midnight Sun” it is essentially a version of “Twilight” from Edward’s point of view instead of Bella’s. Meyer announced that she was working on this project a decade ago, but after a manuscript getting leaked and years without any mention of it, most people who knew what it was assumed the project scrapped.

I’ll be honest and say that I did read the Twilight books (I agree the movies are terrible), and a enjoyed them a lot. While this new version isn’t going to be groundbreaking from a plot perspective, it is at least an interesting exercise and a neat look into another character’s head.

I’m getting plenty of reading done these days, so this will be a fun addition to the stack of bookings I’m working through during quarantine.
