McMuffin-Induced Anxiety Pales In CompariSon To Systemic Racism-Induced Anxiety
If a gun wielding police officer can have this much anxiety over whether or not they‘ll be able to defend themselves against a McMuffin that may have been spat in without provocation, just imagine how nervous black people must feel when they’re pulled over by a gun wielding cop that may execute them without provocation.
If you’re a police officer and your response to the current state of affairs in this country is to seek pity on social media by (a) posting a video of yourself crying over your McDonald’s drive thru experience and asking people to be nicer to you, or (b) posting a video announcing that you’re resigning because you can’t take a little bit of scrutiny to make sure you don’t abuse innocent black people, the I would suspect that lack empathy to such an absurd degree that a psychiatrist would probably like to study you. It goes without saying that you have no business carrying a badge, much less a firearm. You should resign.
If you’re not a police officer and your response to the current state of affairs is to flock to social media to share and boost videos like the ones above, and spread other nonsense about how “it’s just a few bad apples” and “more white people are killed by police than black people” you’re either openly racist, or you’re too ignorant to realize that you’re a racist. We have established that there is a deep, systemic problem with policing in America, and more people have realized that fact in the past few weeks than ever before. Just because you’ve always “backed the blue” before doesn’t mean it’s too late to open your eyes to the reality that is the abusive nature of policing in the United States.
