John Legend & Kelly Clarkson Have Destroyed a Christmas Classic For Political Correctness-Clout

John Legend and Kelly Clarkson are both I credible vocalists, and for the first few seconds of their “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” cover, you think you’re in for a real treat. Unfortunately, it goes downhill fast: all you really need to know is that their #metoo era version this classic Christmas song sucks ass, and it does so without consent.

A true, stereotypical, self-victimizing Social Justice Warrior could actually argue that this song does the opposite of what it sets out to do, in a “men are so toxic and manipulative” sort of way. Despite the fact that the whole song is centered around a woman lamenting over how she shouldn’t stay the night with a man, she ultimately decides not to go home. The whole thing could be interpreted as an exercise in reverse psychology on the part of Legend’s character, who spends the entire song agreeing that she should leave, only to ultimately have her stay. I don’t subscribe to that ridiculous notion (though I’m sure the most liberal SJWs would), I just think the song sucks.

Furthermore, the songwriter who penned the original ballad, Frank Loesser (1910-1969), is credited with writing this horrible perversion as well, which I think is a legitimate example of doing something without consent. He does not deserve credit for the cringeworthy lyrics in Legend’s version of this song, which include such lines as “I’ve got to go away/I can call you a ride”, and “So, really, I’d better scurry/your driver, his name is Murray”.
