I’m so sick of hearing about israel. It’s a bullshit, made-up country formed out of benevolence by actual world powers at a time when it was thought that humanity owed jews a debt, even though it directly resulted in persecution of Palestinians. israel has been on an unabashedly authoritarian trajectory for years, and the only reason people in the U.S. support the garbage that’s happening there is because they’re brainwashed by evangelicals into thinking we’re in the end times and anyone who doesn’t support israel won’t be whisked away and excused from responsibility of fixing this fucked up world when their fairy tale prince on a white horse comes back to rapture them. They’re hardly different from other middle eastern countries who fly planes into buildings, throw dudes who fuck each other off buildings, and chop up journalists.
